Questions

Digital Print Design: common questions

It is designing for digital textile printing, where the design is printed onto fabric by large inkjet printers instead of screens. There is no limit on colours, so designs can use photos, shading and fine detail. It suits short runs and fast-changing styles in sarees, kurtis and dress material.

Mill printing uses one screen per colour, so designs are limited to a set of colours and must be colour-separated. Digital printing needs no screens, so designs can use unlimited colours and photo detail. Motifs, repeats and layouts are common to both.

3 months. Classes run Monday to Saturday in one-hour batches that start every hour through the morning (7:00 – 12:00), afternoon (12:00 – 4:00) and evening (4:00 – 10:00), so you can fit them around school, college or work.
